Occupational Therapy
Occupational Therapists focus primarily on overcoming barriers to students being able to participate in activities that are meaningful to them. This could be self-care, learning and leisure activities. We aim to support both physical and sensory skills to enable students to be as active and independent in all areas of their lives as possible. This could include giving advice to staff which will be implemented across the waking day curriculum, providing equipment to support both physical and sensory needs or providing 1:1 sessions either individually or in a small group setting. All students will be assessed and OT input provided according to their needs.
