Sheiling College Work Experience Coordinator
My name is Claire, and I am the Work Experience Coordinator at the college. I support each of our young people throughout their journey with us. At The Sheiling Ringwood we work closely with several professional bodies and organisations, but also, as a staff team, we work very closely to ensure the best for each student and their individual needs. Other key staff you may hear mentioned in relation to your son or daughter's work experience and careers pathway are the Leisure and Community Lead as well as our Transitions Officer. Another important advisor available to you and your young person is our Independent Careers Advisor.
Independent Careers Advisor
My name is Louise, and I am the Independent Careers Adviser at the college. I support young people in many schools and colleges within the local area to explore the future options available to them.
How will I support your young person?
I will work closely with the work experience co-ordinator to arrange 1:1 career appointments, classroom visits and/or group sessions to explore the things they can do once they leave college.

Help or support that may be needed as an adult
I will also help them to think about the following: what they would like to do as an adult, what they are good at and what they enjoy, work experience and how to apply for a job or course.
